Job Overview

As an Technical Support Engineer at OPT, you will play a pivotal role in bridging customer needs with our cutting-edge vision inspection technologies. You will be responsible for understanding customer technical requirements, conducting pre-sales feasibility studies, and providing end-to-end support—from initial consultation to post-sales troubleshooting. Your expertise will ensure our clients receive tailored, high-performance solutions that maximize their operational potential. 

Key Responsibilities

-Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, providing remote and on-site technical support. 
-Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues; escalate complex cases with clear technical analysis. 
-Perform system deployment, commissioning, testing, and customer training. 
-Conduct application testing, evaluations, and proof-of-concept (POC) trials. 
-Prepare basic technical documentation and service reports. 

-Collaborate with cross-regional teams and travel as required for customer support. 


Qualification 

• Open to fresh graduates or candidates with limited/no relevant working experience. 
• Basic technical knowledge or strong interest in industrial automation or related technologies. 
• Willingness to learn technical application support, troubleshooting, and solution design. 
• Ability to understand customer requirements and support in proposing suitable technical solutions. 
• Good communication skills and ability to interact with customers and internal teams. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
• Proactive, responsible, and eager to learn attitude. 
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment. 
• Fluent in English and German preferred. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
