Your Responsibilities
- Translate technical documents, including product descriptions, user manuals, and marketing materials from Chinese to English.
- Collaborate with product development teams to ensure accurate and culturally sensitive translation of product features and functionalities
- Conduct research and analysis to ensure the accuracy and relevance of translations
- Develop and maintain glossaries and terminology databases to ensure consistency in translation
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development to ensure alignment and quality of translations
- Review and edit translations to ensure high-quality output
- Provide linguistic expertise to help develop product localization strategies
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in both English and Chinese languages
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or a related field (e.g. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science)
Strong English language background (English level 4 above)
2+ years of experience as a translator or in a related field (e.g. technical writing, localization)
Excellent translation skills, with a focus on technical documentation
Proficient in both English and Chinese languages
Proficiency in translation software and tools (e.g. CAT tools, project management software)
